Updates
I’m currently enjoying the long holiday. Not that I have nothing to do, but I think I should take a well-deserved break.
Had my last Masters lesson on Wed. Can’t describe the euphoria when it ended. Honestly, this module is not that bad, I did learn quite a bit. However, the workload is crazy. I can’t help but complain. Sometimes my lecturers seem to forget that I’m doing this part-time. But nevertheless, it’s over. I thank God for bringing me through this “torture”. 😛 I thank God that it’s finally over. I thank God for the 3-month hiatus that I am going to take from my masters. 🙂
Had an event at work on Thurs. It was tiring. I wasn’t part of the committee but I helped out a little cos they approached me. There were some hiccups before the event, that made me very upset with the committee and even regretted helping. But I thank God that things still worked out in the end. The event was well-received and I’m glad that the kids benefitted from it. 🙂
Then came Good Friday. If you had read my earlier post, you would have known that the choir was singing for Good Friday. CG was very sweet, he woke up early to fetch me to church and stayed throughout both services. I would say that it was a humbling experience for me. I think the choir achieved its goal – to minister to the congregration. I’m glad I can be part of this ministry and that I can praise my Heavenly Father. 🙂
Friday was a restful day. After lunch, I took a 4-hour nap. 🙂 Dinner was delicious beef noodles prepared by A and then hours of fun and laughter with Wii. It’s hilarious to see what adults can be like when playing Wii. 😛 We ended the fellowship with my favourite – Macs! 🙂
Today was a restful day too. Woke up at noon. 😛 Had a simple lunch, then went to the supermarket. CG was cooking chicken rice. 🙂 I’ve heard about CG’s chicken rice (from the cook himself) since the day I’ve known him, but it had never presented itself on my dining table until today. The joke was, when CG said he was going to cook chicken rice, he meant the rice only. Imagine my surprise when he asked me how I intended to cook the chicken! 😛 Anyway, CG still dished out a sumptous dinner of roasted chicken and “chicken rice” rice. I stir-fried some sambal kang kong and we had a good dinner with 2 other friends. Dessert was home-made cheng ting that they brought. Yummy! 🙂
It’s my cousin’s baptism tomorrow. So happy for her! We’ll be going and I guess tomorrow will be a day of catching up with work, before Monday. Oh well…
